Rules and how to play

For a new player who wants to become familiar with Hold’em poker before starting to play, we recommend that you read the next section – he will surely find it very useful.

Dealer Button

The dealer button is a marker placed in front of the player who acts last in that particular round. After each hand, it moves clockwise from player to player online poker game

Small blind/big blind

Before the cards are dealt, the first two players to the left of the dealer post the small blind and the big blind respectively. The big blind is usually double the size of the small blind and indicates the minimum bet at that table. Once the blinds have been posted, subsequent players can call (call), raise (raise) or fold (fold).

Carte pocket

At the heart of the game are of course the cards. In Texas Hold’em, each player is dealt two pocket cards or “hole cards”, noticeable only to him. After the pocket cards are handled, a betting game starts and community cards are drawn from the deck.

Common cards

The five community cards are placed face-up in the center of the table, visible to all. Community tickets are not handled all together but in three different phases: the flop, the twist and the stream. The flop comprises three cards, while the roll and river consist of one token each. In rounds, players have the opportunity to place their bets.

Hand construction

With the two personal pocket cards and the five community cards, players have a total of seven cards (after the river). With these seven cards, each player must form the best possible five-card hand. To see the full list of possible hands and their values, just visit our poker school.

Bet

Past and after the loss, after the roll and after the stream, players have the choice to bet. They can gamble as much as they want in Texas Hold’em No Limits and according to the betting limits table in Texas Hold’em Limit and Pot Limit. If a player raises, subsequent players can call, re-raise or fold.

Ways to win

Each pot can be won in two different ways: A) a player wins if he bets and none of the opponents calls B) a player wins because he has the best hand if it comes to the showdown.
